Yoel Romero Returns to Dirty Boxing in Miami

Sports news ยป Yoel Romero Returns to Dirty Boxing in Miami

Yoel Romero is becoming a prominent figure in Dirty Boxing.

Mike Perry, a BKFC fighter, launched Dirty Boxing last year, a new fight promotion with unique rules like three-minute rounds and elbow strikes. Their first event, a private show in Miami in November, featured Romero defeating Duane Crespo in the main event. Dirty Boxing is now seriously entering the fight scene and has again chosen Romero as the main attraction.

Dirty Boxing announced on Wednesday that Romero will headline their first public event against Ras Hylton, a former Bellator fighter. The event is scheduled for March 22 at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami.

Romero hasn’t fought since his knockout win over Crespo at the first Dirty Boxing event. However, the 47-year-old Olympic wrestler recently signed with GFL and is expected to fight Mauricio Rua later this year. Hylton’s last fight was a knockout loss in Cage Titans in 2023.
