Weigh-in Success for Jonas and Price Ahead of ‘Unstoppable’ Bout

Sports news » Weigh-in Success for Jonas and Price Ahead of ‘Unstoppable’ Bout

This Friday, either Natasha Jonas or Lauren Price will move a step closer to becoming the undisputed welterweight champion.

The ‘Unstoppable’ event, held at the Royal Albert Hall, features five fights, including two world title contests and a historic British title fight.

All ten boxers successfully made weight at the weigh-in. However, Joe Gallagher, Natasha Jonas’s trainer, requested to see the calibration certificate for the scales used. Initially, it appeared the first fighters, including Jonas and Price, weighed slightly lighter. Sky Sports reported that Boxxer promoters were addressing Gallagher’s request. Gallagher later informed Sky Sports that the scales were last calibrated in January, not on the day of the weigh-in.

“I’m simply looking out for my fighter,” Gallagher explained to Sky Sports.
