The world of UFC continues its crossover into mainstream entertainment, as the forthcoming *Naked Gun* sequel will feature appearances from several notable figures within mixed martial arts.
Scheduled for release on August 1st, this new comedy-action movie serves as a legacy sequel to the beloved film series originally starring Leslie Nielsen. The film features Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson in leading roles and continues the franchise`s tradition of spoofing police-centric movies. While detailed plot points remain limited, it has been confirmed that a scene involving MMA will be part of the film.
A trailer recently unveiled shows cameos from Justin Gaethje, Michael Bisping, Jon Anik, Bruce Buffer, and “Big” John McCarthy. The footage notably includes a moment where Neeson`s character appears to strike both Buffer and McCarthy.
The cast also includes other recognizable names such as WWE superstar Cody Rhodes (also a TKO representative), Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, and Danny Huston. The movie is directed by Akiva Schaffer, an alum of Saturday Night Live, with Seth McFarlane, creator of hit shows like Family Guy and Ted, serving as an executive producer.
