A women`s flyweight contest has been confirmed for UFC 317, pitting Viviane Araujo against Tracy Cortez. The fight is scheduled to take place on June 28th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
This event will mark Tracy Cortez`s first octagon appearance in 2025, occurring during International Fight Week.
Viviane Araujo enters this bout following a victory over Karine Silva in November 2024. Prior to that win, “Vivi” experienced a unanimous decision loss against Natalia Silva in February of the same year. Araujo is currently ranked as the No. 12 flyweight globally by MMA Fighting.
Tracy Cortez recently suffered her initial defeat under the UFC banner, which also ended her impressive 11-fight winning streak. This loss came via unanimous decision against former champion Rose Namajunas during her first UFC main event in Denver last June. Before that fight, Cortez secured a unanimous decision win over Jasmine Jasudavicius at Noche UFC in September 2023.
