Kevin Holland will remain in the welterweight division for his next fight.
The UFC has officially announced a matchup between Holland and Vicente Luque at UFC 316. The event is scheduled for June 7th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
For Vicente Luque, this fight marks his first appearance in 2025. He is coming off a swift victory in December at UFC 310, where he submitted Themba Gorimbo in just 52 seconds. This win helped Luque recover from a previous TKO loss to Joaquin Buckley nine months earlier. Notably, Luque had two prior fight bookings against Nick Diaz that were ultimately cancelled due to Diaz`s withdrawals.
Kevin Holland is known for his quick turnaround times and is entering this fight fresh off a notable victory by decision against Gunnar Nelson at UFC London in March. This win signified a successful return to the welterweight division after suffering consecutive stoppage losses in the middleweight class to Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder.
UFC 316 will be headlined by a highly anticipated bantamweight title rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley.
