A scheduled fight has been removed from the upcoming UFC Vegas 107 event.
Veteran fighter Jeremiah Wells has reportedly withdrawn from his planned bout against Andreas Gustafsson on the May 31st card at the UFC APEX. Sources close to the promotion confirmed the change, though the specific reason for Wells` withdrawal was not disclosed.
The promotion is now actively searching for a replacement opponent to face Gustafsson on short notice.
This news delays the return of the 38-year-old Wells, who was slated to compete for the first time in 15 months. After starting his UFC career with four consecutive victories, Wells has since suffered two straight losses: a submission defeat to Carlston Harris and a split decision loss to Max Griffin at UFC Vegas 86 in February 2024.
Gustafsson, 34, is still expected to make his promotional debut at the event. He earned his UFC contract last August on Dana White`s Contender Series with a second-round knockout victory over Pat Pytlik and is currently riding a three-fight win streak.
