Sports news ยป UFC Atlanta announces 6 more fights to card headlined by Kamaru Usman vs. Joaquin Buckley

The UFC`s upcoming event in Atlanta on June 14 is expanding with the addition of several new bouts joining the previously announced main event between former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Joaquin Buckley.

UFC officials recently confirmed six new matchups set for the card at State Farm Arena. Among these is a clash of veteran welterweights featuring Michael Chiesa and Court McGee.

Chiesa aims to extend his current two-fight winning streak, which includes submission victories over Max Griffin and Tony Ferguson. Similarly, McGee looks to build momentum following his submission win against Tim Means last October.

Also added to the middleweight division is undefeated prospect Mansur Abdul-Malik, who earned his UFC contract on The Contender Series and will be making his second octagon appearance against Cody Brundage.

In the flyweight division, Tereza Bleda and Jamey-Lyn Horth are scheduled to compete. This pairing was first reported by MMA Fighting in early April.

Middleweight action will also see Edmen Shahbazyan return to face Andre Petroski in a compelling stylistic clash between a striker and a grappler.

Georgia native and flyweight veteran Cody Durden gets the opportunity to fight in front of his home crowd as he takes on Jose Ochoa.

Rounding out the newly announced fights is an intriguing light heavyweight contest at 205 pounds between Alonzo Menifield and the undefeated Oumar Sy.

As previously announced, the co-main event for the Atlanta show is set to be former two-time strawweight champion Rose Namajunas continuing her run in the flyweight division against Miranda Maverick.

A complete and finalized fight card for the UFC Atlanta event on June 14 is still expected to be announced.
