The UFC`s highly anticipated return to Montreal just got even more thrilling with the addition of a powerful lightweight contest.
Benoit Saint Denis and Joel Alvarez are set to face off in a lightweight matchup at UFC 315, scheduled to take place at the Bell Centre.
Saint Denis is eager to return to winning form after suffering two consecutive losses. Prior to these setbacks, he had an impressive run of five straight victories in the 155-pound division. Following these wins, he faced Dustin Poirier at UFC 299 but was defeated by knockout. In his most recent fight, he headlined UFC Paris where he was overcome by Renato Moicano.
Alvarez enters this fight on a strong three-fight winning streak, having won seven of his last eight bouts. After a loss to Arman Tsarukyan in February 2022, Alvarez has secured victories over Marc Diakiese, Elves Brener, and Drakkar Klose.
UFC 315 is headlined by a welterweight championship fight between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena. The co-main event features Valentina Shevchenko defending her flyweight title against Manon Fiorot.
