The official main card for UFC 315 has been announced.
Next month, UFC 315 will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, featuring two championship bouts. The main event will see Belal Muhammad defending his welterweight title against Jack Della Maddalena. Originally, Muhammad was scheduled to face Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310, but an injury forced him to withdraw. Rakhmonov also sustained an injury, which led to Maddalena stepping in as the replacement.
In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko will defend her women`s flyweight title against Manon Fiorot. Shevchenko, already a Hall of Fame caliber fighter, recently regained her featherweight title with a dominant decision victory over Alexa Grasso at UFC 306. Now, “Bullet” begins her second title reign against the rising contender Fiorot, who boasts a seven-fight winning streak in the UFC.
In addition to the two title fights, the remainder of the UFC 315 main card was revealed during the recent UFC 314 event. The featured bout will showcase featherweight legend Jose Aldo against up-and-coming contender Aiemann Zahabi in a bantamweight clash between top 15 ranked fighters.
Also on the main card, former women`s flyweight champion and No. 1 ranked Alexa Grasso will make her return since losing her title to Shevchenko, facing off against No. 5 ranked Natalia Silva. The main card opener will feature a highly anticipated bout between the always exciting Benoit Saint Denis and Joel Alvarez.
UFC 315 is scheduled for May 10, with the main card broadcast live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
