Sebastian Fundora Set for World Title Defense Against Chordale Booker

Unified super welterweight champion Sebastian ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundora is set to make his long-awaited return to the ring. The 25-year-old boxer will defend his WBC and WBO titles against Chordale ‘The Gift’ Booker on March 22 at the Michelo Arena in Las Vegas.

This will be Fundora’s first fight since his bloody split decision victory over Tim Tszyu 11 months ago at the T-Mobile Arena. That memorable bout saw both fighters sustain significant injuries, with Tszyu suffering a severe cut and Fundora breaking his nose.

Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) stepped in as a late replacement for Keith Thurman in that fight. Now, he faces Booker (23-1, 11 KOs), a 33-year-old challenger who has won five consecutive fights at super welterweight following his only career loss to Austin Williams in 2022.

While Fundora is favored to retain his titles, Booker sees this as a career-defining opportunity. “This moment means everything and it’s proof that hard work and perseverance pays off,” Booker stated.

The undercard features two additional bouts: Elijah Garcia vs. Terrell Gausha in the middleweight division, and Jesus Ramos vs. Kevin Zalgado Zambrano at super welterweight.

Fight fans can expect an intense southpaw showdown as Fundora aims to cement his status as the division’s top fighter, while Booker looks to pull off a major upset.
