Following yesterday`s chaotic press conference with a table flip, today`s weigh-in for `Heavy Impact` was much calmer.
While Joe Joyce and Filip Hrgovic are the main event, David Adeleye and Jeamie Tshikeva, British heavyweight title contenders, were the center of attention. Tshikeva caused a stir yesterday by throwing a table during a heated exchange with Adeleye. However, today`s face-off was respectful, despite reports of a backstage incident between their teams. Broadcast host Ade Oladipo mentioned things were “kicking off” backstage while he was trying to focus on the weigh-in.
Speaking with interviewer Dev Sahni, Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva declared he would deliver a ‘TKO,’ and Adeleye, with a fierce stare, promised a ‘knockout.’ The fights are set to take place tomorrow at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena.
