UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja is set to sport a striking new pair of custom fight shorts for his upcoming fourth title defense at UFC 317. The reveal comes as part of the ongoing UFC Unrivaled collection, developed in partnership with VENUM.
These personalized shorts will be featured when Pantoja defends his flyweight championship against Kai Kara-France in the co-main event of the pay-per-view card this Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Pantoja played an active role in the design process, imbuing the shorts with elements reflecting his personal style and core beliefs. According to the design description, he chose to incorporate mythological Japanese dragons, powerful symbols representing “power, wisdom, and good fortune.” Additionally, graphics inspired by Brazilian waves are included, paying tribute to his heritage and the iconic beaches of his native land.
The championship bout marks Pantoja`s first octagon appearance of 2025. Known as “The Cannibal,” he had a busy 2024, successfully defending his 125-pound title on two occasions. He defeated Steve Erceg in the main event of UFC 301 and secured a decisive second-round submission victory over Kai Asakura at UFC 310 last December. Pantoja initially captured the title in a memorable “Fight of the Year” contender decision win against Brandon Moreno at UFC 290 in July 2023.
