Noche UFC 3 Moves to San Antonio from Guadalajara

Sports news ยป Noche UFC 3 Moves to San Antonio from Guadalajara

The upcoming Noche UFC 3 card, initially scheduled for September in Guadalajara, Mexico, will be relocated. The reason for the change is that construction on the planned arena in Guadalajara would not be completed in time for the event.

With the venue in Guadalajara unavailable, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has adjusted its plans. Noche UFC 3 will now take place in San Antonio, Texas, hosted at the Frost Bank Center on Friday, September 13th.

This venue and date change was officially announced during the UFC Vegas 107 broadcast held on Saturday.

Speculation regarding the potential relocation of the Noche UFC card had been prevalent for several weeks prior to the official announcement. These rumors were fueled by the fact that several other events previously slated for Guadalajara had also been moved due to concerns about the arena`s readiness for their scheduled dates.

The move is now confirmed, signifying that the UFC`s third annual event celebrating Mexican Independence Day will be held in Texas, rather than Las Vegas, which hosted the first two installments of the Noche UFC series.

Interestingly, Noche UFC 3 was originally billed as UFC 320. However, the promotion is now presenting the event as a standard Fight Night card instead.

As of now, no specific bouts have been announced for the San Antonio card. The inaugural Noche UFC event featured a women`s flyweight championship bout between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso as the main event.
