Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O`Malley`s highly anticipated rematch is less than a month away.
Last September at UFC 306, Dvalishvili achieved his goal of winning UFC gold, claiming the bantamweight title by unanimous decision over O`Malley in the main event. O`Malley later called his performance disappointing, revealing he entered the fight with a hip injury.
Now, “Suga” O`Malley has the opportunity to avenge that previous loss, and the UFC is heavily promoting this rematch.
A new promotional video for UFC 316 was released on Monday, focusing heavily on the Dvalishvili and O`Malley rematch. The promo notably featured O`Malley first before introducing the champion. At the end, it quickly mentioned the co-main event: a women`s bantamweight title fight between Julianna Peña and Kayla Harrison.
UFC 316 is scheduled to take place on June 7 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
