Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the boxing promotional company co-founded by Jake Paul, has significantly enhanced its stable with the recent signings of two prominent female fighters: Savannah Marshall and Chantelle Cameron. These acclaimed pound-for-pound talents join an impressive lineup under the rapidly expanding MVP banner, which already includes unified super-bantamweight world champion Ellie Scotney.
While the addition of IBF world super-middleweight champion Savannah Marshall (13-1, 10 KOs) and former undisputed champion Chantelle Cameron (20-1, 8 KOs) was formally announced today, specific details regarding their upcoming bouts have not yet been disclosed.
Savannah Marshall, a two-division world champion, continues to pursue further achievements in her boxing career. Her only professional loss came in a high-profile showdown against Claressa Shields in 2022. That bout was built upon Marshall`s victory over Shields during their amateur careers. Even with Shields now competing in a higher weight class, a professional rematch between these two rivals remains a compelling possibility for the future. Addressing Marshall`s path forward, MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian stated, “The plan is to support Savannah in pursuing any fights she is interested in, which includes a rematch with Claressa Shields.”
For Chantelle Cameron, the move to sign with MVP appears to have been an unexpected development following a relatively short period with Queensberry Promotions. Now training under the guidance of Stephen Smith, ambitious plans are reportedly in the works for the 33-year-old.
Cameron is particularly recognized for her two thrilling contests against Irish boxing icon Katie Taylor in 2023, where she initially secured a notable majority decision win before narrowly losing the subsequent rematch. As the current interim WBC super-lightweight champion, Cameron is now strongly positioned to challenge the winner of the upcoming trilogy fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, scheduled for July 11. Confirming this likely trajectory, Bidarian added, “If whoever wins intends to keep the belt over the long term, they will have to face Chantelle.”
