Marco Tulio is quickly becoming known for his incredibly exciting fights, and his latest match at UFC 314 was no exception, ending in a spectacular knockout.
The fight against Tresean Gore was a real challenge, with Gore absorbing a powerful head kick that would have finished many opponents. Despite the heavy blow, Gore managed to stay in the fight, but Tulio wasted no time in dropping him again with a perfectly timed straight punch.
Referee Marc Goddard quickly stepped in to stop the fight at 3:16 of the second round, protecting Gore from further damage.
Tulio`s performance was especially impressive considering he fought the majority of the bout with a broken right hand.
“I broke my hand in the first round when I rushed at him,” Tulio revealed after the fight. “This is my dream. I`ve seen this in my dreams. I have much more to show. Marvin Vettori, who just fought, I am ready for him.”
Before his callout, Tulio had to overcome a strong showing from Gore, who delivered significant punishment of his own in the first round. However, Gore`s strikes didn`t seem to affect Tulio as much, and the Chute Boxe fighter continued to press forward.
In the second round, Tulio took control, landing a variety of strikes, including the head kick that initially dropped Gore. Gore showed incredible resilience to recover, but Tulio quickly finished the fight with a knockout punch.
This victory marks Tulio`s second win in the UFC, both by knockout, and it`s likely that he will be facing higher-ranked opponents in his future fights after these impressive back-to-back performances.
