KSI Shares List of UFC Fighters Who Rejected Boxing Match Offers
Social media personality KSI is set to return to the boxing ring on March 29, facing Dillon Danis in a rescheduled bout from 2023. Despite his eagerness to fight Danis, KSI recently revealed that this matchup wasn’t his initial preference.
In a recent YouTube video, KSI disclosed that his team had approached several prominent UFC fighters for a potential March fight, but all of them declined. He stated, “Dillon Danis wasn’t even my fourth choice. We approached Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone, Tony Ferguson, and even Jorge Masvidal. They all said no or were unavailable due to UFC contracts.”
KSI also addressed suggestions to fight Darren Till, explaining that weight differences and rehydration clauses would likely be issues. He expressed confidence that Danis would not back out this time, citing Danis’ ongoing legal battle with Logan Paul as a financial motivator.
The social media star also commented on his rivalry with Jake Paul and Paul’s recent failed negotiations with Canelo Alvarez. KSI criticized Paul’s reaction, stating, “Jake Paul was too busy lamenting not getting the Canelo fight, even though he never really had it. Canelo was just using him as a pawn.”
KSI concluded by asserting that many fighters, including ex-UFC competitors, are reluctant to face him in the ring, while suggesting that fighters are more willing to take on Jake Paul due to perceived better chances of victory.
