King Green faced a significant loss to Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 313, suffering a knockout from a spinning wheel kick. However, he has affirmed that his MMA journey is not over.

A seasoned fighter with 51 professional MMA fights, including 27 in the UFC, Green aimed to recover from a previous submission loss to Paddy Pimblett in July 2024. Unfortunately, this time, his defeat was even quicker.

“This is the nature of the fight game,” Green stated in a video on his Instagram Stories. “There are victories and defeats. That’s how it goes. Respect to Ruffy, he performed well. I hope for his continued success. And thanks to everyone who supports me.”

Green had a positive run between April 2023 and April 2024, securing finishes against Tony Ferguson and Grant Dawson, along with a decision victory over Jim Miller, despite a loss to Jalin Turner in between.

Currently, he has won only three of his last nine fights.

“Thank you for your unwavering support, but we are not finished,” Green reassured. “I just need more time to readjust to competing in the cage. We will return, I promise.”
