UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov is reportedly ready to assist former Manchester United and France national team soccer star Patrice Evra as he prepares for his upcoming debut in mixed martial arts with the PFL.

Following his announcement that he intends to compete in MMA, the 43-year-old Evra reached out to Nurmagomedov. Evra emphasized that his venture into fighting is serious and not merely for attention, vowing to dedicate himself fully to his preparation.

“I need to train,” Evra stated during a conversation with Nurmagomedov. “I need to take it seriously. You know how much respect I have for you, for the sport so that`s why I really need to have a training session with you. Because I want to know from the best.”

Nurmagomedov, a known soccer enthusiast, reiterated his offer of support to Evra, particularly now that both are based in Dubai. He gave a characteristically direct response:

“I told you many times, send me location and I’m going to find you,” Nurmagomedov said. “Send location, tell me where are you? When I see you, you have to be ready and that’s it. Other things, I’m going to take care of. I’m going to teach you how to smash people.”

Nurmagomedov is widely recognized as one of the premier coaches in MMA today, having guided champions like UFC lightweight king Islam Makhachev and PFL lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov.

Since retiring from competition, Nurmagomedov has focused heavily on coaching, known for his demanding sessions and ability to maximize fighter potential. It appears he is open to adding Evra to his training roster whenever schedules align.

“I just want you to improve yourself,” Nurmagomedov commented. “Nothing else. It`s very good to see you and finally I hope you`re going to send me location and then we will train together.”

Evra is scheduled to make his PFL debut at the organization`s event in Paris, France, on May 23rd at the Accor Arena.
