Kennedy Nzechukwu has been removed from his scheduled fight against Martin Buday this weekend.
Originally, Nzechukwu was set to face Buday in a main card heavyweight bout at UFC Vegas 105 this Saturday. However, on Thursday, the UFC announced Nzechukwu`s withdrawal from the event. Taking his place, the undefeated Uran Satybaldiev will now step in to fight Buday in a heavyweight clash. The reason for Nzechukwu`s removal from the card has not been disclosed.
Satybaldiev is the current LFA light heavyweight champion, holding an unblemished professional record of 9-0. He captured the interim LFA title in 2024 with a fourth-round stoppage victory over Bruno Assis. Just a month ago, he solidified his reign by claiming the undisputed title, submitting Leon Soares with a kimura in the third round.
Buday entered the UFC in 2021 after competing on the Contender Series and has since built a successful UFC record of 5-1. In his most recent fight at UFC 303, Buday secured a split decision win against former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski, in what was Arlovski`s final fight in the UFC.
