Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will face each other for the third time.
Most Valuable Promotions announced on Thursday that Taylor and Serrano will meet in a trilogy fight on July 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The fight will be for the undisputed super lightweight championship and will be the main event of an all-women’s boxing event streaming on Netflix.
Most Valuable Promotions co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Badarian stated that this event is a celebration of women’s talent in boxing and another historic step for women’s sports. They highlighted their commitment to championing women in boxing and creating lasting opportunities, expressing honor in bringing this event to life with Netflix and MSG.
Taylor won their first two encounters, both of which were very close decisions. Their first fight was the first women’s main event at Madison Square Garden in April 2022. They fought again this past November as the co-main event of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson card, delivering another exciting match that was watched by an average of 74 million viewers on Netflix.
Additional fights for the event will be announced later.
