In a compelling grappling showdown featuring two top-tier UFC middleweights, Caio Borralho emerged victorious against Brendan Allen.

Allen participated shortly after a decision loss to Anthony Hernandez at UFC Seattle. He then faced Borralho at Karate Combat 53 in Seattle. Despite a spirited contest in the pit, Borralho swept both rounds on the judges’ scorecards, securing a unanimous decision win.

Borralho engaged with the audience pre-match, distributing “Fighting Nerds” glasses to attendees. The bout saw Borralho initiate with a collar tie, countered by an Allen single-leg takedown attempt, leading to a Borralho guillotine choke attempt. Allen escaped, resulting in a stand-off. Allen attempted another single leg, but Borralho evaded. A scramble ensued, with Borralho briefly achieving full mount before transitioning to a kimura attempt, which Allen defended to conclude the first round.

The second round commenced with Borralho taking Allen down to full mount. Allen successfully created space, but Borralho regained a dominant full mount and back control. Allen escaped again, securing a takedown in the pit corner. Borralho reversed position, and both fighters exchanged smiles before Borralho took Allen’s back again to finish the match.

Borralho’s previous UFC appearance saw him defeat Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 96 in August, extending his UFC record to 7-0 and his overall win streak to 16.
