Julia Avila concluded her professional fighting journey at UFC Vegas 102. In the opening fight of the event, Avila faced Jacqueline Cavalcanti and lost by unanimous decision. Following the match, Avila declared her retirement from mixed martial arts, sharing the moment in the octagon with her daughter.

“This is the end,” Avila told Daniel Cormier in an interview. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to compete in the UFC. Referencing her usual pre-fight ritual of quoting Psalm 144:1, she stated she now felt it was time to retire.

Avila retires with a professional record of 9 wins and 4 losses, with a 3-3 record in the UFC. Known as “Raging Panda,” her career was marked by injuries and time taken to raise her child, limiting her to only two fights since June 2021. Highlights of her career include a victory over Pannie Kianzad at UFC 239 and wins against Gina Mazany and Julija Stoliarenko.

Cavalcanti won by unanimous decision, maintaining her undefeated UFC record and extending her winning streak to seven fights.
