Jon Jones is partnering with Mike Perry in a new venture.
Dirty Boxing Championship announced on Friday that the reigning UFC heavyweight champion and legendary former light heavyweight titleholder has signed on as a co-owner of the burgeoning combat sports organization. TMZ was the first to report this development.
“I was immediately captivated after watching their first event,” Jones stated in the announcement. “I believe this organization has the potential to become a major force in combat sports. I am honored to lend my name to this endeavor.”
This move further solidifies Jones`s professional relationship with managers Malki and Abe Kawa, who co-founded Dirty Boxing with Perry in 2024. Dirty Boxing events feature fighters competing with five-ounce gloves and incorporate elbows and limited ground-and-pound within its rule set.
Dirty Boxing is scheduled to host its next event on Saturday, featuring a main event clash between former UFC middleweight title contender Yoel Romero and Ras Hylton in a heavyweight contest. The co-main event will showcase former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski against Terrance Hodges.
Jones is expected to be present at Saturday`s event in Miami.
Jones’s UFC career is currently in a holding pattern as fans await confirmation on whether he will agree to a fight with interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall. Jones has previously downplayed Aspinall’s status as a contender, expressing greater interest in a bout with Alex Pereira, who recently lost his light heavyweight title to Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313.
