After his own victory and 17th championship win at WWE WrestleMania 41, John Cena made sure to give props to Logan Paul, calling him a standout rising star.

On the same night Cena won against Cody Rhodes, Paul also celebrated a victory, defeating veteran A.J. Styles in an exciting match in Las Vegas. While many have praised Paul for quickly adapting to professional wrestling, he`s also faced criticism for his fast climb to the top without the traditional experience of others in the business.

However, Cena believes none of that negativity matters. He argues that Paul proves his talent every time he steps into the ring and likely doesn`t care about what critics say anyway.

“Logan Paul is incredible,” Cena stated on The Pat McAfee Show. “I messaged him right after his match saying he’s innovative, from using a drone for his entrance to his overall creative thinking. I thought it was awesome. And his performance is top-notch; he’s doing moves I couldn’t even do in my prime. Love him or hate him, his athleticism is as good as or better than many established wrestlers.”

Cena continued, “What I respect most about Logan Paul is that he doesn’t care if people like him. He’s authentic. He’s a star. People will eventually realize how good Logan Paul is. He might be new to WWE, but that shouldn`t be held against him. He’s a true WWE superstar and belongs in the ring. He’ll always be himself, and whether fans cheer or boo, they’ll pay to see him because he’s that impressive.”

Paul`s WrestleMania entrance featured him walking to the ring with a drone, capturing his entrance before letting it fly across the arena.

Cena was impressed by Paul’s ability to use his social media and YouTube background to become relevant in WWE.

Cena also acknowledged that Paul has faced a lot of negativity over the years, and his ability to handle it will benefit him in his wrestling career.

“He’s been disliked, but he’s also been through tough times,” Cena explained. “He’s faced setbacks and criticism many times, but he doesn`t give up. He keeps pushing forward.”
