Combat sports enthusiasts might need to budget for June 28, as it features both the Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight and UFC 317 on the same evening.
DAZN recently announced the pay-per-view cost for the Paul vs. Chavez Jr. bout. The event`s undercard will also feature the return of former UFC champion Holly Holm to the boxing ring.
The pay-per-view price for the Paul vs. Chavez Jr. fight is set at $59.99, in addition to a required DAZN subscription.
This boxing match marks Paul`s first fight since late last year. His previous bout was a massive spectacle in November, where he defeated former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, watched by over 100 million viewers on Netflix.
The victory over the 58-year-old Tyson improved Paul`s overall record to 11-1. He now aims to add another notable name to his list of opponents by fighting Chavez in June.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., now 39, is considerably past his prime when he was a champion and top contender across various divisions. In his last six appearances, Chavez holds a 3-3 record, including a surprising defeat to UFC icon Anderson Silva, whom Paul previously beat in 2022.
Chavez`s most recent fight resulted in an unconvincing decision victory against former UFC fighter Uriah Hall.
The undercard also features Holly Holm`s return to professional boxing, her first bout since 2013, where she is scheduled to face Yolanda Vega.
The Paul vs. Chavez event is scheduled to compete directly with UFC 317. The UFC card in Las Vegas is headlined by a vacant lightweight title bout between Ilia Topuria (making his debut at 155 pounds) and former champion Charles Oliveira, and features Alexandre Pantoja defending his flyweight title against Kai Kara-France in the co-main event.
UFC 317 is priced at $79.99, requiring an ESPN+ subscription.
