Jackson McVey is set to make his highly anticipated UFC pay-per-view debut.

Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation have confirmed that Jackson McVey will step in on less than two weeks` notice to face Brunno Ferreira at UFC 318. The event is scheduled for July 19th at the Smoothie King Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana.

McVey is stepping in as a replacement for Ikram Aliskerov. Aliskerov revealed on Instagram that he sustained a broken toe during his training camp for the planned bout with Ferreira. The undefeated Aliskerov was recently scheduled to fight Christopher Ewert at UFC 317, but that fight was cancelled when Ewert missed the middleweight weight limit. Aliskerov, known as `The Moose`, last fought in June at LFA 210, securing a quick win in 98 seconds.

Brunno Ferreira will make his seventh octagon appearance, aiming for his fifth win under the UFC banner. In his most recent outing at UFC 313, `The Hulk` secured a submission victory via a painful armbar against Armen Petrosyan in the second round.

UFC 318 is headlined by a highly anticipated trilogy bout for the BMF title, which is expected to be the final fight of Dustin Poirier`s career as he faces Max Holloway.
