Islam Youssef kicked off his PFL career with an unforgettable knockout during the PFL MENA bantamweight quarterfinals on Friday.
The spectacular finish came in the second round when Youssef landed a perfectly timed flying kick against his opponent, Benyamin Ghahreman.
With Ghahreman moving away towards the fence, Youssef aggressively closed the distance. Ghahreman attempted to circle away but spun directly into Youssef`s airborne strike, which connected flush to the head. Youssef added a few follow-up punches before the referee officially stopped the contest at 3:56 of Round 2.
Despite missing weight for the quarterfinal bout, weighing in at 137.3 pounds on Thursday, Youssef`s impressive performance secured his spot in the semifinals of the PFL MENA 135-pound tournament.
This dominant win improves Youssef`s professional record to 6-2 and marks his fifth consecutive victory since his most recent loss in 2021, making a strong statement in his promotional debut.
