Veteran middleweights Jack Hermansson and Gregory Rodrigues are set to clash at UFC 317, scheduled for June 28 as part of International Fight Week. The event will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The promotion has yet to announce the headlining bout for the evening.
Hermansson (24-8) will make his return to the octagon after a 16-month layoff. His last appearance, roughly a year and a half ago, resulted in a unanimous decision win over Joe Pyfer. The Swedish fighter holds an 11-6 record in the UFC and has seen his results fluctuate between wins and losses over the past six years, ever since a four-fight winning streak was halted by a Jared Cannonier uppercut.
Rodrigues (16-6) had built momentum in the UFC with consecutive victories over Denis Tiuliulin, Brad Tavares, and Christian Leroy Duncan. However, his run was interrupted in February this year when he lost via fourth-round knockout to the aforementioned Cannonier in a main event contest. The former LFA champion boasts seven wins in his ten UFC outings, including four performance bonuses and five finishes by knockout.
