Gustavo Oliveira created a standout moment at PFL Europe 2 on Saturday.
The 28-year-old fighter representing Portugal landed a spectacular spinning back elbow that utterly finished his opponent, Anas Azizoun, in the opening round of their bantamweight contest.
Commentators reacted with excitement as Oliveira stepped in for an exchange, only to unleash the spinning back elbow. The strike connected perfectly, rendering Azizoun unconscious before he even fell to the canvas.
The dramatic conclusion occurred at the 3:25 mark of the first round.
This exceptional knockout performance is sure to attract significant attention for Oliveira.
Following his victory, Oliveira paid tribute to Portuguese soccer player Diogo Jota, who tragically passed away in a car crash on July 3 while traveling with his brother in Spain. As his name was announced as the winner, Oliveira displayed a custom shirt bearing Jota’s name and number.
