Elif Nur Turhan Inks Deal with Matchroom Boxing

Undefeated boxer Elif Nur Turhan has signed a promotional agreement with Matchroom Boxing after her recent impressive knockout win.

Turhan`s dominant performance took place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, supporting the main event fight between Lewis Crocker and Paddy Donovan.

The 29-year-old fighter faced Shauna Browne, who was expected to maintain her perfect record in a significant test on her home ground.

However, Turhan, with a record of 10 wins and no losses, including 6 knockouts, dramatically changed the narrative by securing a first-round knockout victory as the visiting fighter.

It was a powerful left hook that earned the Turkish boxer the most significant win of her career, leaving Browne unable to continue.

Despite competing at lightweight (135lbs) in her last two fights, Turhan is highly ranked at super-featherweight, holding the number two spot in the IBF rankings and number three in the WBA. This opens up numerous opportunities for her in the lower weight class.

Currently, Alycia Baumgardner reigns as the undisputed champion at 130lbs, which might make an immediate title shot challenging for Turhan.

Alternatively, if Turhan decides to continue her powerful run in the lightweight division, she would likely have a clearer path to competing for world titles in the near future.

With both Terri Harper and Beatriz Ferreira, who are also Matchroom fighters and champions in their respective divisions, either could become a potential opponent for Matchroom`s newest signing.

Terri Harper is scheduled to defend her WBO title against Natalie Zimmermann on May 23rd, while Beatriz Ferreira, the IBF titleholder, is yet to announce her next fight.
