Famous personalities Drake and Conor McGregor are betting significant amounts of money on the major fights at UFC 314.
Leading up to Saturday`s pay-per-view event in Miami, both celebrities announced their large wagers through their gambling sponsors.
Drake shared on Instagram that he is betting $545,000 on Alexander Volkanovski, the favorite, to win against Diego Lopes in the main event and regain the UFC featherweight title.
If Volkanovski wins, Drake is set to receive a $915,000 return.
This win would be especially important for Volkanovski, who has recently suffered knockout losses in his last two championship fights against Ilia Topuria and lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. At 36, Volkanovski is aiming to be the first UFC fighter to win an undisputed title after losing his previous two fights.
Lopes is on a winning streak of five fights since a decision loss to featherweight contender Movsar Evloev.
McGregor is also involved, posting a video on social media showing his $500,000 bet on Michael Chandler to not only beat Paddy Pimblett in the co-main event on Saturday, but to win by knockout.
Chandler, a former Bellator lightweight champion, is considered the underdog against Pimblett. Chandler has lost two consecutive fights and four out of his last six UFC appearances. Pimblett has a perfect 6-0 record in the UFC.
