Frazer Clarke is setting his sights firmly on claiming the British heavyweight title and has simultaneously expressed his willingness to potentially face Dillian Whyte.

The Olympic bronze medallist recently got back to winning ways last month, delivering a dominant first-round stoppage against Ebenezer Tetteh, who is also a former opponent of Whyte.

This victory provided a needed rebound for Clarke, who had previously suffered a significant and concerning stoppage defeat to Fabio Wardley. That loss followed a highly contentious draw between the two heavyweights the previous year, which featured numerous dramatic moments over 12 rounds.

The rematch with Wardley ended in a far more decisive and punishing manner for Clarke, who required hospital treatment after a fierce first-round onslaught.

However, the 33-year-old has since made a full recovery and is now targeting a challenge for the Lonsdale Belt, currently held by David Adeleye, later this year.

Alongside his pursuit of the British title, Dillian Whyte, a former world title challenger, has been mentioned as a possible future opponent. Clarke remains receptive to any significant matchups within the UK scene.

While Clarke made short work of Tetteh, Whyte`s performance against the same opponent in December was less convincing, resulting in a seventh-round stoppage victory.

`The Body Snatcher` Whyte is scheduled to return to the ring on June 7th against an opponent yet to be named, having recently withdrawn from a bout with Joe Joyce due to injury.

For Clarke, a clash with Whyte represents an appealing challenge. However, the outcome of an anticipated rematch between David Adeleye and Jeamie TKV is also expected to produce a potential opponent for Clarke later this year.

Commenting on facing Whyte, Clarke told Sky Sports: “[Whyte’s name has] been chucked around at me a few times in the last few weeks. It`s something I`m open to.

“[Whyte’s] not getting any younger; he could do with activity. I`m available, I`m fit and I`m ready. So if the phone ever goes for that fight, I`ll jump on it.”

Clarke concluded by acknowledging the possibility of facing the Adeleye-TKV winner, but stressed, “If that comes – fantastic. If not, there`s other huge domestic fights; Dillian Whyte just being one of them.”
