Headlining Misfits Boxing 21 on Friday night at Valliant Live in Derby, England, Till faced fellow former UFC competitor Darren Stewart in a scheduled eight-round boxing match. This contest proved significantly tougher for Till than his swift knockout win over Anthony Taylor in January at Misfits 20. Ultimately, “The Gorilla” earned a unanimous decision victory in what turned out to be a surprisingly competitive clash.
Till started the fight aggressively, landing his potent left hand effectively and even dropping Stewart early in the opening round. It briefly appeared as though Till might be heading for another quick finish, but “The Dentist” demonstrated immense toughness, recovering to beat the referee`s count and survive the round.
Till maintained a strong performance in the second round, yet Stewart remained durable and began to apply consistent forward pressure, slowly wearing down Till. Round after round, Stewart absorbed Till`s strikes and relentlessly pushed the former UFC welterweight title challenger back towards the ropes.
While Till continued to find success with his striking as the bout progressed, Stewart`s iron chin and persistent pressure presented serious obstacles. As the fight neared its conclusion, the judges` decision felt genuinely uncertain, with the outcome potentially hanging in the balance.
However, in the fight`s final moments, Till expertly pivoted off the ropes and capitalized on a defensive lapse from Stewart. He landed a powerful left hand to the temple just as the final bell rang, a punch that visibly hurt “The Dentist” and nearly sent him tumbling through the ropes. Despite Stewart managing to get back to his feet, the impact of that crucial late knockdown was decisive. The judges subsequently awarded Darren Till the unanimous decision win.
Following his victory, Till used his post-fight interview to call out KSI, who was seated ringside. He also suggested other potential future matchups, including a tag-team bout with KSI against Logan and Jake Paul, or individual fights against notable names like Jorge Masvidal or Mike Perry.
