BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom has committed to arranging a unification bout for WBC lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois`s upcoming fight.

According to her head coach, Shane McGuigan, `Sweet Caroline` is expected to return to the ring in late June or early July, although an exact date remains unconfirmed.

This summer, the talented Dubois will likely face either recently crowned WBO champion Terri Harper or WBA champion Stephanie Han.

Dubois, holding a professional record of 11-0-1 with 5 knockouts, successfully defended her green and gold WBC belt last month. She delivered a comprehensive performance against mandatory challenger Bo Mi Re Shin.

Despite Dubois`s clear dominance in the fight, one judge controversially scored the contest a 95-95 draw.

Nevertheless, Dubois secured the victory via a majority decision, extending her impressive form in a lightweight division that now features four highly-rated world champions.

Many consider IBF champion Beatriz Ferreira, a highly decorated amateur, to be the most accomplished fighter in the division and arguably the top professional lightweight.

While facing the Brazilian Ferreira would pose a significant challenge, a potential all-British encounter with Terri Harper (15-2-2, 6 KOs) would also be a tough test for Dubois.

Harper claimed her WBO title by defeating Rhiannon Dixon last September and is scheduled for her next fight against undefeated contender Natalie Zimmermann on May 23.

Meanwhile, WBA champion Stephanie Han (10-0, 3 KOs) has a fight scheduled for July 12. She won her title earlier this year with a decisive first-round stoppage of Hannah Terlep.

Both Harper and Han are viable options for Dubois`s next bout, which appears to be nearing finalization. Promoter Ben Shalom indicated that the upcoming fight would be a unification contest and that an announcement is expected soon, naming Han and Terri as potential opponents.
