Brandon Moreno Set to Battle Steve Erceg in UFC Mexico City Main Event

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has officially confirmed that Brandon Moreno will square off against Steve Erceg in the headline bout of UFC Mexico City. The event is scheduled to take place on March 29 at Arena CDMX.

Moreno, a former two-time UFC flyweight champion, currently holds the fourth position in the 125-pound division rankings. His opponent, Erceg, is ranked twelfth in the same weight class.

The Mexican fighter is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Amir Albazi in November, which helped him bounce back from two consecutive losses. Moreno’s recent setbacks include a narrow split decision defeat to Alexandre Pantoja in his bid for a third title reign, followed by another split decision loss to Brandon Royval.

On the other hand, Erceg is looking to regain momentum after suffering two consecutive defeats. The Australian fighter had an impressive 3-0 start in the UFC but recently fell short against Pantoja and suffered a first-round TKO loss to Kai Kara-France.

This main event matchup promises to deliver an exciting clash between two talented flyweights, with both fighters eager to climb the rankings and position themselves for future title opportunities.
