Bella Mir has made a strong debut in UFC BJJ.

The daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, Bella is an emerging MMA fighter, collegiate wrestler, and professional grappler. She competed at UFC BJJ 1 on Wednesday night against Carol Joia. Demonstrating grappling skills reminiscent of her father, Mir secured a submission victory in the second round.

In the first round, Mir dominated the action from top position, applying high pressure and attempting passes while Joia defended. Mir threatened with an arm-triangle choke during the round, but Joia successfully defended it.

The second round saw Joia attempt a leg lock, but Mir defended. In the scramble that followed, Mir swiftly attacked with a D’Arce choke. Despite Joia`s efforts to escape, Mir`s squeeze was too powerful, leading to the tap.
