Andrea Lee Sets Record with 6th Straight Loss at UFC Vegas 103

Sports news » Andrea Lee Sets Record with 6th Straight Loss at UFC Vegas 103

Andrea Lee achieved an unfortunate milestone with her unanimous decision loss to J.J. Aldrich during the UFC Vegas 103 prelims on Saturday.

This fight marked Lee’s sixth straight loss, a new record in the women’s division. She surpassed four other fighters who had five consecutive losses in the UFC. In UFC history overall, only Tony Ferguson with eight losses and B.J. Penn with seven losses have longer losing streaks.

Unfortunately, Lee couldn’t change her luck in her latest fight and lost to Aldrich in a fight dominated by Aldrich.

Aldrich mainly used a strong two-punch combination that caused Lee problems throughout the fight. These straight punches repeatedly got through Lee’s defenses and even resulted in a quick knockdown for Aldrich early in the fight.

Trailing after two rounds, Lee tried to turn things around in the final round with a late takedown and a guillotine choke submission. However, she couldn’t maintain control of Aldrich, who escaped both times.

Aldrich continued to strike Lee from a distance until the fight ended. The judges scored the fight 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28 for Aldrich. It is likely that this was Lee’s last fight in the UFC.

If this is indeed Lee’s final UFC appearance, she will leave with a 5-9 overall record.
