Amanda Nunes, widely considered the most dominant female fighter in mixed martial arts history, is officially joining the UFC Hall of Fame.

The announcement of Nunes as a member of the 2025 Hall of Fame class was made during the UFC 314 broadcast in Miami. The induction ceremony is scheduled for June 28 in Las Vegas.

Nunes, visibly moved by the honor, was present at the Kaseya Center when the announcement was made.

Throughout her career from 2015 to 2021, “The Lioness” remained undefeated, holding and defending championship titles in both the bantamweight and featherweight divisions. She achieved dominant victories against many top fighters in the sport.

Her list of defeated opponents includes Ronda Rousey, Cris Cyborg, Valentina Shevchenko, Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, and Germaine de Randamie, among others, showcasing her reign over two weight classes.

Even after a loss to Julianna Peña at UFC 269, Nunes avenged it decisively in a rematch at UFC 277. Her final fight was a victory against Irene Aldana at UFC 289 in June 2023, after which she announced her retirement.

Despite recent comments suggesting a potential return to competition, Nunes can now celebrate her place among the legends in the Hall of Fame.

Other figures to be inducted at the June 28 ceremony include former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, the classic fight between Israel Adesanya and Kelvin Gastelum from UFC 236, and producer Craig Piligian.

Nunes and Lawler will join other Modern Wing Hall of Famers such as Ronda Rousey, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Georges St-Pierre, B.J. Penn, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Jose Aldo, and Daniel Cormier.
