Johnny Fisher vs. David Allen Weigh-In Highlights
Johnny Fisher and David Allen both tipped the scales heavier than their thrilling previous bout 147 days ago, setting the stage for an explosive heavyweight rematch tomorrow at London’s Copper Box Arena.
Fisher, the undefeated 23-year-old nicknamed the ‘Romford Bull’, weighed in at 245 lbs, four pounds more than last time. Allen, 33, registered 265 lbs – his highest weight in seven years, an increase of seven and a half pounds from their last meeting. Wearing unique underwear featuring his own face, the fighter from Doncaster vowed to upset the thousands of passionate Fisher fans in attendance.
“I’m here to do a job and I’m here to finish it as early as possible,” Allen told interviewer and former IBF middleweight champion Darren Barker.
Appearing unfazed by the potentially hostile crowd, he added: “Just another day at the office for me. I’ve come here ready to fight. I’ll be looking to start faster this time. I’m going to get the victory inside the distance.”
Fisher, who maintains a perfect 13-0 record, soaked up the cheers from the crowd during the DAZN-streamed weigh-in and responded confidently. “It’s not about what he intends to do; it’s about what I plan to do, and we are going to secure the win at any cost.”
